Rahul Gandhi nod for party panels in new districts
TPCCC has requested to appoint DCC president to all 31 districts.
Hyderabad: AICC president Rahul Gandhi approved the proposal of TPCC to reconstitute District Congress Committee (DCC) as per new districts created by the Telangana government. After state bifurcation there are 10 districts in Telangana and state government has increased the number of districts to 31. But recently AICC has appointed DCC presidents according to old districts.
TPCCC has requested to appoint DCC president to all 31 districts. On the advice of high command, TPCC, in its recent meeting, passed a resolution requesting to appoint DCC presidents to all 31 districts and sent it for high command approval.
AICC general secretary and in-charge of party organisation matters Ashok Gehlot in a letter to TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy informed that Rahul Gandhi approved the proposal to reconstitute 31 district/city congress committees.
