Hyderabad: Telangana CLP deputy leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for ignoring Bayyaram steel plant during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi two days ago in Delhi.
Mr Ponguleti on Monday said Mr Rao met the PM with a political agenda. He said the Chief Minister submitted representations to the PM on 11 different issues but Bayyaram steel plant was not there.
Mr Ponguleti questioned the TRS government’s commitment towards the setting up of Bayyaram steel plant. He said Mr Rao did not talk about the Bayyaram steel plant issue with the Prime Minister during his meeting.
He said industries minister K.T. Rama Rao was trying to fool the people of the state by painting pictures about the government’s efforts to set up the steel plant. He questioned what happened to the Chief Minister’s slogan that Bayyaram steel plant was the right of Telangana.
Mr Ponguleti also questioned the Chief Minister for not requesting the Prime Minister to grant national status to Kaleswaram Project. He said that they have appealed to the Chief Minister to take all party leaders to meet Prime Minister Modi to discuss about the pending issues.
But, the Chief Minister is meeting Mr Modi alone.
