Hyderabad: A person committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling at his residence in Bolarum on Sunday night. Family problems are reportedly the reason for his suicide.The police have identified the victim as G.M. Devi Kumar, 37, a resident of Adarshnagar.
According to police, there was scuffle between Kumar and his wife on Sunday evening and the victim was in an inebriated condition. He had beaten his wife and children and they went to his mother-in-law’s home, next door. K. Srinivasulu, sub-inspector of police said, “He killed himself by hanging to the ceiling at his residence when no one was at home around 9 pm. When his family members came home, they found Kumar hanging.” They immediately shifted him to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC and handed over the body to his family members after an autopsy at Gandhi Hospital.
