Hyderabad: After the conclusion of Varalakshmi Vratam, the prices of flowers have come down in the wholesale and retail markets on Sunday. The roses, which were available for Rs 240 per kg on Thursday and Friday, are sold for Rs 70 per kg and the loose petals could be fetched for Rs 40 per kg.
Similarly, due to a lesser demand and more arrivals, the prices of chamomile came down to Rs 140 per kg from Rs 500 on Thursday. On Sunday, marigold was available for Rs 50 per kg while jasmines for Rs 300.
