Realtors seek panel to resolve crisis

HYDERABAD: The real estate industry asked the state government to constitute a committee in the municipal department to correct the problems in the existing master plans, till new drafts are drawn up.

Real estate industry bodies such as Credai, Naredco, Telangana Builders Federation, and Telangana Developers Association were speaking at the state-level coordination meeting headed by Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari and attended by officials from the municipal, revenue, irrigation, commercial tax and labour departments.

They wanted the Water Board to provide a temporary connection at construction sites, as was being done with other industries. They also sought that approval for borewells should be given under the TSbPASS along with building permission.

Similarly, a temporary electricity connection should be made part of the system.
The builders also sought for establishing a technical help desk in GHMC and HMDA offices to resolve queries raised by various applicants. The existing IT infrastructure in TSbPASS has to be enhanced to accommodate the current and future system loads to avoid regular system failure.

Issues relating to mortgage registration, and resurvey of lakes under HMDA limits by the irrigation department were also raised during the meeting. The CS assured the industry representatives that the government will resolve all the genuine issues raised by the members.
