Two arrested had arranged students for a camp in Bhubaneshwar.

Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) which is probing the Eamcet II leak paper case of 2016 is making the parents of students who paid money to secure the question papers and officials of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University as witnesses.

This follows the arrest of Veleti Vasu Babu, 50, dean of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Chaitanyapuri, and Kamma Venkata Sivanarayana, 54, an agent for admissions in Narayana and Chaitanya colleges for obtaining leaked question papers and circulating them among students. They had arranged six students for a camp in Bhubaneswar where they were trained to answer the leaked paper. Three of the students got good ranks.

“Though the accused had collected Rs 35 lakh from the students, we are not making them accused in the case. All the parents will be made a witness in the case. Officials of JNTU are also witnesses in the case,” said the CID official.
