Ravela Kishore Babu's photo in MRPS posters creates flutter

The MRPS planned to conduct Madigala Kurukshetra meeting in front of Acharya Nagarjuna University.

GUNTUR: The presence of the photograph of former minister and Telugu Desam MLA Ravela Kishore Babu in the posters of Manda Krishna Madiga’s Kurukshetra Mahasabha became a hot topic in the political circles in Guntur on Thursday. The MRPS planned to conduct Madigala Kurukshetra meeting in front of Acharya Nagarjuna University demanding SC reservation categorisation and protesting against the TD government’s negligence on the issue. The programme was against the TD government.

Mala Mahanadu, which is opposing SC reservation categorisation, also announced to organise a public meeting on the same day. Sensing danger to law and order, the police department denied permission to both the meetings. MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga is conducting a campaign for the success of Kuruk-shetra meeting for the past few weeks. He visited Hindu temples, churches and dargahs seeking categorisation of SC reservations and for the success of the meeting. On Thursday, MRPS erected posters on the roads of the city in which photo of Kishore Babu was printed with the photos of Krishna Madiga and other leaders.

Mr Kishore Babu lost his ministerial post due to differences with ZP chairperson Sk Johny Moon and other causes. There were reports about Kishore Babu leaving the TD, but he participated in the Vanam Manam programme of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Obula-naidupalem. Now, as his photo has appeared on MRPS posters which planned meeting against the TD government, the TD leaders are suspecting about the continuation of Mr Kishore Babu in the party. Meanwhile, MPRS leaders V. Raja Madiga, Rajkumar and others alleged that the TD government totally failed to fulfil its promise of categorization of SC reservations.
