EPFO launches initiative

Initiatives have been taken to ensure no documentation was required for partial withdrawals / loan & the self-certification by the employee is enough.

Chennai: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has launched one more initiative called "Employees' Retention and Aadhaar Campaign" for the purpose of reducing the premature closure of accounts by the employees.

The significant aspects of the Scheme are — The campaign is aimed at reducing the premature closure of accounts and to retain the employees with the EPFO by improving service delivery.

Initiatives have been taken to ensure no documentation was required for partial withdrawals / loan and the self-certification by the employee is enough.

Members are advised to seed their Aadhaar number with the Universal Account Number(UAN) so that accounts are transferred easily on change of job or place in an automatic mode.
