New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called up his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on the occasion of the Id-ul-Fitr festival.
The Prime Minister said he wished that this special day deepens the spirit of harmony and peace. Mr. Modi extended Id greetings to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also.
He also spoke to Iranian President Has-san Rouhani, Afghan President Ashraf Gha-ni, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen and greeted them on Id.
