Teachers should understand the mind of students, says TP Ramakrishnan

Kozhikode: The teachers must understand the mind of the students and the environment to which they belong to fulfil the aim of education, according to Minister for Excise and Labour T.P. Ramakrishnan.

"Parents must spend time with their children and listen to them even when they are busy. The public along with the PTA must take steps to keep drug peddlers out of school premises to ensure the healthy growth of our future generations," he said. He pointed out that books had been provided in schools before the reopening dates. Advanced facilities, including smart classrooms, have been arranged in many schools.

The minister welcomed the newcomers by presenting them gifts. MLA Purushan Kadalundi delivered the presidential address. District panchayat president Babu Parassery made the keynote address. DDE Calicut E.K. Sureshkumar conveyed the message of Praveshanolsavam.

District Sarva Siksha Abhiyan coordinator M.K. Mohankumar delivered the inaugural speech.
