Rahul Gandhi’s two-day visit to Wayanad from today
Kalpetta: Congress president Rahul Gandhi MP will visit Wayanad for two days from Friday to thank the voters for electing him with a record majority of 4.31 lakh votes.
All arrangements have been put in place for the visit, said KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran and Saddiqali Shihab Thangal, convenor and general convenor respectively of Rahul Gandhi’s election committee.
He will arrive at Calicut International Airport, Karipur, in a special aircraft at 1. 30 p.m.
He will meet the voters at Edavanna, Areekkode, Kalikavu and Nilambur. Later, he will travel to Kalpetta by road and stay at the PWD rest house. On Saturday, he will visit the MP’s facilitation centre at the Wayanad collectorate. He will be accorded receptions at Kalpetta town, Kambalakkad, Panamaram, Mananthavadi, Pulppalli and Sulthan Bathery. He will leave Kalpetta on Sunday morning and return to Delhi from Karipur in a special flight.
