Oppn parties create confusion on Neet: Pon Radhakrishnan
Chennai: Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon. Radhakrishnan slammed opposition parties for utilising every occasion to create confusion among the people on NEET. "The opposition parties are undertaking a false campaign on the NEET to confuse the students and parents," he said.
Speaking to the reporters here in Chennai, the minister also said that he was deeply pained by the suicide of medical aspirant Pratibha. He also exhorted the students not to take such drastic steps.
Lashing out at the opposition parties, the union minister said those parties are spreading rumours regarding NEET with a motive of gaining political mileage. “Even few people from Gujarat are also opposing the NEET exam. The medical entrance exam is not only conducted in Tamil Nadu, but also throughout the country,” he added.
He also requested parents and teachers to instil self-confidence to their children.
“Minister K.A. Sengottayan had taken steps to develop education in the state. I appreciate that. But for the last 50 years nothing happened to develop the education in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
