New challenge: Segregate waste at home
The campaign was started by Team Shubhra Hyderabad Movement in association with the GHMC.

Hyderabad: The #SourceSegregation-Challenge put up on social media is aimed at changing the people’s mindset towards segregation of dry and wet waste at home.
The campaign was started by Team Shubhra Hyderabad Movement in association with the GHMC. People need to post pictures of how they are separating dry and wet waste at home, followed by challenging friends to do the same.
The first one to pick up the challenge was GHMC zonal commissioner, Cha-rminar, N Ravi Kiran, who posted a picture of how he was segregating dry and wet waste. He then challenged minister K.T. Rama Rao, GHMC commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy and other zonal commissioners.
Quick to appreciate the initiative was UK deputy high commissioner Andrew Fleming, who is gearing up to participate in the challenge. Badm-inton player Sikki Reddy also accepted the challenge but is yet to post pictures.
Mr Ravadi Kantha Rao, inceptor, Shubhra Hyderabad Movement, said, “We’ve launched this campaign to encourage citizens to adopt source segregation and challenge their family, friends, neighbours and colleagues in the best interest of our city.”
