NRI donates Rs 20 lakh water plant to Pedaparimi village

He said he has plans to get individual sanitary latrines built for every household in village.

Guntur: An NRI, living in Australia, dedicated a water plant built at a cost of Rs 20 lakh to his native village Pedaparimi in Tullur mandal in the capital region on Monday.

Mr. Muvva Sateesh Reddy, a businessman dealing in petrol in Australia, sponsored the water plant built with latest technology of micro and ozone filtration.

The plant would serve the needs of 10,000 population in the major panchayat for the next 25 years, he said while dedicating it to the village.

Mr. Sateesh said he was interested in serving his native village through the Sri Muvva Foundation, founded in remembrance of his mother, late Muvva Hemalatha.

Mr. Sateesh explained that the ozone purification technology was a proven technology in which wastage of water would be minimum and that it would also retain the minerals in the water. “Only the bacteria would get removed,”he said.

He said he has plans to get individual sanitary latrines built for every household in village.
