Hyderabad: Khammam on Monday recorded highest temperature at 45.6°C which was 6.3°C above normal.
Weather bureau said that the Telanaga state saw a rise of 5°C above normal in some parts. The temperatures were recorded above 3°C in Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Bhadrachalam.
The rise in temperatures has the state government requesting people to stay indoor during the peak summer hours — 11 am to 4 pm. In Hyderabad too the traffic movement during the peak hours is less.
The increasing temperatures are due to the hot winds blowing from the Rayalseema region.
