Hyderabad: BJP’s lone MLA Raja Singh said, “If anything illegal is constructed we know how to raze it to the ground again. We don’t want any other Ayodhya to be made in Hyderabad,” he asserted.
Mr. Raja Singh, who was arrested and released later, questioned in a tweet, “If it was a mosque why were they maintaining silence and had allowed a family to live in it?” His tweet also asked why the Wakf Board was laying claim to it when the GHMC acquired the land after paying Rs 2.5 crores as compensation to the occupier.
Mr Singh, condemning the police action against him, questioned whether “We can’t raise our voice when we see something is wrong and can’t protest about it?” He said that in Amberpet where a new mosque was being built, had already been acquired by GHMC by paying Rs 2.5 crores as compensation to carry out road widening. He said that GHMC paid the compensation to the occupier Maqbool and his brother well before the demolition. He countered that there was no mosque there, and that the MIM MLA and his goons had created a drama to construct a new mosque.
