Bengaluru: Vendetta politics won’t work – BJP slams M B Patil

It is disgraceful on the part of the coalition government to order the arrest of innocent people for sharing or giving ‘like’ to facebook posts

Bengaluru: The BJP has criticised Home Minister M.B. Patil for allegedly resorting to vindictive measures against those considered BJP sympathizers.

Several BJP workers headed by former Deputy CM R. Ashok resorted to a dharna in front of the Gandhi statue in the city and criticized Mr Patil for misusing his official power by ordering the police to arrest BJP sympathizers.

The arrest of journalist S.A. Hemanth Kumar, Shruti Bellakki, Ajith Shetty Hejmadi and other clearly shows that Mr Patil has been misusing the police to settle scores against the opposition BJP, Mr Ashok alleged.

The BJP leader also criticized the Congress-JD(S) government for imposing an undeclared Emergency in the state by arresting and harassing its political opponents.

It is disgraceful on the part of the coalition government to order the arrest of innocent people for sharing or giving ‘like’ to facebook posts, Mr Ashok said.
