Tour drought-hit villages or else: Siddaramaiah to district in-charge secretaries
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah categorically instructed district in-charge secretaries to visit districts twice in a month to monitor developmental and drought relief works.
Chairing departmental review meeting with senior officials here on Saturday, Mr. Siddaramaiah directed district in-charge secretaries to tour the district twice in a month, one day should be dedicated to inspection of developmental and drought relief works.
District in-charge secretaries ought to oversee developmental work in the districts. Secretaries guidance to deputy commissioners and Chief Executive Officers (CEO) would accelerate the developmental works and government machinery will work fast, the Chief Minister advised at the meeting.
“Government will not tolerate delay in implementation of subsidized schemes. Anna Bhagya, Kshira Bhagya and other social-welfare schemes must be implemented effectively. Benefits of the schemes should be reached to the beneficiaries without any delay. District in-charge secretaries must oversee the developmental works and programmes”, he added.
To ensure the effective implementation of Anna Bhagaya scheme, officers must keep vigil on the scheme. Each individual must get 7 kg of rice in Anna Bhagya scheme, officers must ensure that beneficiaries should get assured quantity of rice in Anna Bhagya scheme, the CM.
