Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd and L&T are adopting sophisticated technology for the security of Metro Rail Stations.
The company has installed CCTV cameras with high resolution at two to four places since the beginning of the construction. Now, it is procuring metal detectors with advanced technology. It is developing 3-tier security system for all metro stations.
HMRL MD N.V.S. Reddy said at least 10 security personnel would be on duty in each shift. “There will three sorts of security personnel — police, HMRL force and L&T private force.
He said baggage checking would be as similar as existed at airports. “The commuters must go thro-ugh metal detectors and checking points to enter into the station,” he said.
