Telangana students top in ICSE, ISC exam

ISC and ICSE examination mark sheets and pass certificates will reach the schools by May 10 and 14 respectively.

Hyderabad: Students from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh excelled in Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) results that were released by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) on Friday.

V. Sindhuja from Kalpa School in Hyderabad secured 98 per cent in Class X, followed by her classmates Dhruv Bhat (97.2 per cent), I. Amritha (96.8 per cent) and Lavanik Bahuguna (95.6 per cent).

Apoorva Nangia (96.5 per cent), Deepika Reddy (96.5 per cent), Shikar Shah (96 per cent) and Khyati Jain (95.8 per cent) from Gitanjali School (Begumpet); K. Mehant (96 per cent) and Pranjal Sancheti (95.5 per cent from Niraj Public School, Ameerpet brought laurels to the city.

Deepika Reddy from Geetanjali said she wanted to study engineering after her plus two. The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet achieved 100 per cent both in 10th and 12th. Arushi topped with 97.3 per cent in ICSC and Rachita (95.6 per cent) in Science stream and Divya (95.4 per cent) in Commerce stream, topped ISC.

Hyderabad Public School Kadapa also achieved 100 per cent results. Students from Aurobindo International School, Vidyanagar also excelled with K. Pravar (97 per cent) securing the highest in ISC, while Sruthi Prusty with 97.2 per cent marks was the topper in the Science stream.

In Andhra Pradesh, Jalend Bantupalli (Timpany School, Visakhapatnam) secured the highest with 97.8 per cent.

All India, Abhineet Parichay from Odisha’s Balangir was the Class 10 topper with 99.2 per cent and Aadyaa Madi of Mumbai’s Lilavati Poddar School scored 99.75 per cent to top Class 12.

Girls performed better than boys in the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) board examinations. This year, 42,880 students took the ISC exams whereas 1,69,381 students appeared for the ICSE exam. ISC and ICSE examination mark sheets and pass certificates will reach the schools by May 10 and 14 respectively.
