Plus-2 results to be released on May 17

Totally 8.8 lakh students wrote the plus two exams in 2421 centres.

Chennai: Ending the month-long suspense over the declaration of plus two results, the Director of Government Examinations (DGE) on Friday announced that the plus two results in Tamil Nadu will be released after the elections on May 17. The DGE also said that SSLC exam results will be released on May 25.

Totally 8.8 lakh students wrote the plus two exams in 2421 centres and more than 11 lakhs students wrote the SSLC exams in more than 3,000 centres. Plus two exams were held from March 4 to April 1 and SSLC exams were held from March 15 to April 13. According to a press release, plus two students will get to know the results between 10.31 am and 11 am and SSLC students will know their results between 9.31 am and 10 am.

Students can get their results with their marks in the following websites
www.tnresults.nic.in www.dge1.tn.nic.in www.dge2.tn.nic.in They have to register their date of birth and register number to view the results.

Apart from these websites, they can also know the results from National Informatics Centres in the district collector's offices and all central and branch libraries for free of cost. Students can know their results in their respective schools as well.

School headmasters wondered about the delay in declaring results this year.
"The evaluation work was over in April third week and all pre-result work would have been completed by now. We don't know what stops them from releasing the results now," they said.
