Guntur: A person was killed on the spot at Tadepalli in Guntur district when a hoarding fell on him during the rain and gales which lashed parts of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Nukaraju, 37, who was working in a Hotel in Tadepalli. The police said Nukaraju was cleaning utensils of the hotel when the hoarding fell on him. The victim is a native of Nidadavolu in West Godavari district. The hoarding near Andhra Bank on the Tadepalli bypass road collapsed due to gale in the early hours on Friday.
The body was shifted for autopsy and an investigation is on. Meanwhile, the public is demanding strict action against those who installed the hoarding without taking proper security measures.
