Ramulu Naik is Congress Boath in-charge

It may be recalled that the Congress had suspended Kumram Kotesh, an Adivasi leader for anti-party activities.

ADILABAD: TRS former MLC Ramulu Naik, who recently joined the Congress, has been appointed as the Congress Boath constituency in-charge by the District Congress Committee leaders.

This is despite the fact that Mr Ramulu Naik belongs to Hyderabad. This elevation has shocked the Congress activists and second-rung leaders.
Earlier Mr Ramulu Naik had tried for a TRS ticket from Boath. Being a non-local he was denied the ticket. In the past Mr Ramulu Naik has also contested as a BSP candidate.

It may be recalled that the Congress had suspended Kumram Kotesh, an Adivasi leader for anti-party activities. Mr Kumram Kotesh had tried for a Boath ticket, but to no avail. He then contested on an NCP ticket.

The party had also suspended senior Congress leader Anil Jadhav who contested as an Independent when he was denied a party ticket. Naresh Jadav who filed nomination as an Independent candidate was also suspended, but his suspension was revoked later.

Anil Jadhav joined the TRS despite Congress leaders Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and Adilabad DCC president Bhargav Deshpande pressurising him not to leave the party. Anil Jadhav is eyeing the Adilabad Zilla Parishad chairman’s post and will contest for the upcoming ZPTC from Neredigonda.
