TRS public meeting may see record turnout
WARANGAL: Local TRS leaders are busy with arrangements for the party’s upcoming public meeting at Prakashreddypet in Hanamkonda. The meeting, as part of the party’s 16th foundation day celebrations, is expected to be attended by lakhs of party workers and supporters from across the 31 districts in the state. Civil Supplies Corporation chairman Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, entrusted with the responsibility of making the public meeting a truly memorable affair, said that the party plans to eclipse the record set on December 16, 2010 — the fifth largest public meeting in the world and second in the country attended by 20 lakh.
“Going by the membership drive we are confident that another record is in the making for this public meeting. We are making arrangements for the meeting to be held on 1,116 acres. Eight parking places with the capacity to accommodating one lakh vehicles are being arranged,” Mr Reddy said. Special arrangements are being made for toilets, medical camp, and drinking water among others across 41 acres. The party leaders have assured foolproof arrangements will be made keeping in mind the scorching summer heat.
