The suspect however attempted to attack Mr Srinivasulu and even stabbed the policeman while trying to flee. But despite suffering serious injuries, Mr Srinivasulu managed to hold on to the suspect and overpowered him.
Hyderabad: Constable Kukudapu Srinivasulu, working with the counter-intelligence cell in Telangana state, received the Shaurya Chakra in Delhi on Thursday.

The Shaurya Chakra is a military decoration awarded for bravery in the line of duty that can also be handed to civilians or non-military personnel.
