Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday ordered re-post-mortem on the body of Manthani Madhukar who died recently under suspicious circumstance in Peddapally district of the state. The re-post-mortem would be conducted by a team of forensic experts in the presence of chief judicial magistrate, Karimnagar and the Madhukar’s parents.
Justice A. Ramalingeswara Rao, while dealing with a petition moved as lunch motion by Manthani Laxmi, mother of the deceased, to conduct re-post-mortem and to order constitution of a Special Investigation Team to probe the incident, gave the orders. The petitioner urged the court to direct the police to register the crime under Section 302 IPC and provisions of SC/ST Atrocities Act instead of Section 174 Cr PC as was done.
