Amit Shah puts off trip to Hyderabad
Hyderabad: BJP national president Amit Shah has postponed his trip to Hyderabad. He had a hectic schedule, including an interaction with senior party leaders, meeting with booth-level workers and a luncheon programme in Hyderabad planned for April 7. BJP MLC N Ramachander Rao told media persons here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the BJP president to stay back in New Delhi in view of presentation of a Finance Bill in Parliament.
“Amit Shah’s programme has not been cancelled but postponed. He is likely to visit Hyderabad after BJP National Executive meeting in Bhubaneswar on April 15 and April 16,” Mr Ramachander Rao said. Telangana BJP president Dr K. Laxman had made elaborate arrangements for the party’s national president’s visit. Amit Shah is planning to revive the party and focus on the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Mr Ramachander Rao said that so far, the state government has not given permission for the BJP to hold a public meeting in an open ground in the city.
