Bengaluru: Rajya Sabha member Rajeev Chandrasekhar has hailed the recent Supreme Court ruling, which quashed the petition of two private entities which had requested quashing of NGT order.
“For me, this is a big milestone in my fight to ‘Save Bengaluru’ from a builder-official nexus. There have been many wins before, but this one is a big one because it defeats the combined clout of builders and six years of Congress rule in Bengaluru.
Citizen must always remember that in the fight to save Bengaluru, Karnataka Govt chose to join hands with the builders to quash NGT order on Lake & SWD BufferZone in SC, while Namma Bengaluru, backed by other citizens organisations, continued to fight and ensure that NGT order is upheld and lakes are secured, Mr Chandrasekhar said.
