Hyderabad: A housewife was attacked by her husband at Golconda Qazi Galli on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the man identified as Riyaz, was married to one Rubeena Begum, and the couple had some family disputes.
The woman was staying in her mother’s house at Golconda Qazi Galli when on Wednesday morning, Riyaz scaled the boundary wall and came into the house.
“He took a knife and stabbed Rubeena before escaping from the place,” the family members told the police.
The family complained that the police arrived an hour after the incident and failed to shift Rubeena to the hospital. “Our relatives came home and shifted Rubeena in a private vehicle to Osmania General Hospital,” a relative of the woman told media persons. The Golconda police registered a case under Section 307 of IPC and further investigation is underway.
