MP CM Chouhan orders inquiry in Bhopal-Ujjain train blast
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered an inquiry into the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train blast on Tuesday in Shajapur district.
At least eight persons were injured, two of them seriously, in the blast in Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train near Jabdi station in Shajapur.
Chouhan has asked state Director General of Police, forensic experts, and officials of the Special Task Force and Anti-Terrorism Squad to inquire into the blast, an officer from the Public Relations department said.
The state government also announced a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to the seriously injured persons and Rs 25,000 each to the other injured passengers.
A bomb disposal squad earlier went to the accident site, which is around 81 km from Bhopal, to ascertain the cause and nature of the blast.
The two seriously injured persons were referred to a hospital in Bhopal. The others were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kalapipal town, which is close to the accident site.
