Hyderabad police bars noise pollution

The order will be in place from March 9, and was issued after the police received complaints from victims of sound pollution.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police has barred using high volume sound systems including DJs emanating sound levels beyond permissible limits, bursting firecrackers, including during processions in residential localities for 15 days.

The order will be in place from March 9, and was issued after the police received complaints from victims of sound pollution.

Violators would be punished under Section 67(c) and 188 of the IPC and Section 76 of the City Police Act.
