Solar eclipse at March 9 sunrise

The solar eclipse fully is visible in India 2019.

Hyderabad: Early risers will get to see just a part of the total solar eclipse over Hyderabad on March 9. A maximum of 12 per cent of the sun will be covered at 6.45 am on Wednesday.

The eclipse will start over the city at 6.29 am and end at 6.47 am. Despite the early hour, those who want to see the eclipse must use a pinhole camera or a solar filter. Mr Raghunandan Kumar, director and founder secretary of the Planetary Society of India, said, “People must not watch the eclipse with their naked eyes.” “As the duration is less in Hyderabad, enthusiasts have to make the best of the given time,” he said.

The next solar eclipse fully visible in India will be in 2019. Wednesday's total solar eclipse will be visible in Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan and the north Pacific Ocean.

The last time the celestial event was visible in India was a partial solar eclipse seen in north India on January 4, 2011.
