Hyderabad: MLA Amarnath Reddy's gunman loses pistol
Hyderabad: Palamaner MLA N. Amarnath Reddy’s gunman lost his pistol while he was travelling from Chittoor to Hyderabad on Sunday.
Chittoor AR constable, Md Gouse, travelled in an APSRTC bus till the MGBS at Afzalgunj and took an autorickshaw to Adarsh Nagar, where he realised that his gun was missing. Police booked a case and started a search.
Police said the .9mm pistol contains 10 live rounds. Cops are also investigating if the pistol was stolen from the constable while he was sleeping.
“The constable slept in the bus while travelling. He had loosened his belt to which the pistol was hooked. He also changed his seat once during the journey,” said ACP R. Giridhar Sultan Baz-aar.
Hailing from Palamaner and a constable since 1996, Md. Gouse had gone to his home and was returning to Hyderabad. Ghouse reached Hyderabad in the morning. He lodged a complaint at around 9.30 am.
Earlier, another AR constable, the gunman of Narsapur MLA Madan Reddy, mishandled his weapon, which led to the death of the MLA's driver.
