Visakhapatnam: As many as 16 TD and RJD MPs have extended support to the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd employees who have been fighting for implementation of the third pay revision and superannuation pension.
Vizag Steel Plant executives participated in a rally to the PMO in New Delhi under the banner of Steel Executive Association (SEA).
A team led by SEA general secretary Katam S.S. Chandra Rao met the MPs and explained their grievance.
After hearing the pleas of the SEA representatives, the MPs, including J.C. Diwakar Reddy, Avanthi Srinivas, Galla Jayadev, K. Rammohan Naidu, Sujana Chowdary, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Butta Renuka sought immediate action on the issue.
The MPs forwarded the representations from SEA to the minister for steel and steel secretary urging them to implement the third PRC and superannuation pension. They also assured the SEA team of their full support.
Later, the team sought help from RJD MP Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav and member of Parliamentary panel on steel and coal Prof Manoj Kumar Jha., who in turn assured to put up a special note seeking implementation of the third pay revision and superannuation.
