Municipal commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi told to speed up road works

Local corporator T. Umadevi set stone for road extension works.

Rajahmundry: Municipal commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi instructed the engineering officials to expedite road development works in several parts in the city for the benefit of commuters.

The municipal commissioner inspected the progress of works here on Wednesday and said that A.V. Apparao Road and J.N. Road were being developed at a cost of Rs 9 lakh and felt the need to do so ensuring quality.

Meanwhile, the civic authorities had started road extension works from Nandam Gani Raju Junction to SKVT High School and also from Nandam Gani Raju Junction to MRO quarter falling under Division No. 5 at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.

Municipal commissioner also inspected laying of athletic track at a cost of Rs 14.50 lakh on Government College premises and asked the engineers to execute the works in an expeditious manner with quality.
