Nizamabad: Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s mother, Parige Papamma, died late on Tuesday night in Banswada.
She was 107, and had been suffering from age related ailments for the last few days. Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy the eldest son of Papamma, had rushed to Banswada following the news of his mother’s illness. The centenarian died while undergoing treatment at the Government area hospital.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons. Her last rites were conducted at their native village Pocharam on Wednesday. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spoke to Mr Reddy over the phone and offered his condolences.
