Hyderabad: S.K. Joshi, the new Chief Secretary of Telangana State, has decided to conduct department-wise meetings with secretaries and officials to review departmental activities.
In a circular sent out to all departments, Mr Joshi says that department-wise meetings will be held on February 7 and 8 at his conference hall in the Secretariat; every department has been allotted one hour.
The Chief Secretary wants to know about the functioning of every department. At the meetings, he will discuss department performance, the implementation of schemes, and any problems related to implementation. He will also look into the possibility of clubbing related schemes. He has asked all secretaries come be prepared with the relevant data and details regarding expenditure.
After department-wise meetings, the Chief Secretary will hold a meeting with all the secretaries. Matters that will be discussed at this meeting include — the progress of Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya, the implementation of the crop investment subsidy scheme for farmers, the purification of revenue records, and the construction of double-bedroom houses.
