lake police rescues two from suicide
Hyderabad: A degree student and a trader, who tried to commit suicide by jumping into the Hussainsagar were rescued by the lake police on Saturday. While Syeda Summayya Shaaz tried to commit suicide due to failure in romance, Shankar decided to end his life due to losses in business.
Syeda, pursuing degree in a city based college, was in love with one Syed Laieezuddin. On Friday when she asked him to marry her he refused saying his family will not accept her. In the other incident, M. Shankar, 31, a resident of Esamiya Bazaar, who was running a store suffered a head injury two years ago and since then was suffering from psychiatric problems. He underwent treatment at the Mental Health Institute at Erragadda. Recently he again started his shop but suffered losses. Both were rescued and handed over to their families
after counselling.
