BJP slams Dinesh Gundurao for defending Puttaranga Shetty

Ravi Kumar claimed that corruption in the Congress started with the first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru himself.

Bengaluru: Taking a dig at KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao for defending minister Puttaranga Shetty, whose staff member was caught at the Vidhana Soudha with a huge amount of cash, state BJP General Secretary Ravi Kumar claimed that corruption in the Congress started with the first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru himself.

Speaking at the BJP Yuva Morcha’s ‘Vijaya Lakshya’ workshop here on Sunday, Mr Ravi Kumar said that the Congress, if it had any moral standing, should condemn Mr Gundurao for taking this stand and initiate action against him.

“Is Mr Gundurao not ashamed to say that Rs 25 lakh is a small amount? The Congress has killed the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. If Mr Rahul Gandhi (Congress president) has any ideals, he should initiate action against Mr Gundurao,” he said.

Taking a dig at AICC President Mr Rahul Gandhi, Mr Ravi Kumar said that while Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi worked day and night without a holiday, Mr Gandhi, after a tour of the states, would take rest for two days in foreign countries.

Morcha All India President Madhukareshwar Desai, state General Secretary B.Y. Vijayendra and 14 leaders in-charge of various districts were present. Addressing them, Mr Desai highlighted the good work done by Prime Minister Modi and said that the duty of the Yuva Morcha is to ensure that people become aware of the good work.
