Hyderabad: The GHMC is in a competition mode as the Swachh Survekshan Survey will wind up on March 10.
A Swachh survey team is likely to visit the city in the second week of January to inspect and evaluate the civic body’s sanitation claims. This year, public feedback on the city’s sanitation carries the highest mark. For the first time, negative marks are being introduced. The Central team will pick up a random person to get the feedback.
Out of the 4,000 points designated to various parameters, public feedback accounts for 1,600 marks. While 1,400 marks are set aside for ODF and garbage segregation, and 25 per cent of the remaining 1,000 marks is awarded by the evaluators.
Hyderabad will be competing with other urban bodies in the state and the country. Nearly 4,041 urban municipalities will participate in the survey.
