Vijayawada: All is set for the second Amaravati Marathon in the city on January 8. Deep Trust, along with the AP government are organising the marathon comprising 21km, 10km, 5km and 3km in the run categories. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the event at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium.
Vijayawada police commissioner Gowtam Sawang said that all arrangements were made for the marathon. Race Director Dr N. Murali said half marathon race will start from Indiara Gandhi Stadium and pass via police control room flyover, Prakasam Barrage and take a return at Mantena Satyanaryana health village Vundavalli. On the other hand, city police have made some traffic diversions from 4am to 10am on Sunday.
