State admin derailed: DK Aruna
Hyderabad: BJP leader and former minister D.K. Aruna on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was neither responding to nor addressing the people’s problems.
The state administration has derailed with the adamant attitude of Mr Rao, she told the media at the BJP state office.
She was critical of the Chief Minister for not consoling the tragedy struck family of Disha. The Chief Minister had plenty of time to attend marriages and other functions, but he had no time to visit the grief stricken family, she said.
The former minister expressed concern at the increase in the number of liquor shops and said that it was the easy availability of liquor that made drunkards commit crimes, particularly against women and children. She said that to protest against the increase of liquor shops and the state government’s failure in curbing illegal liquor and drug trade, the BJP will organise a two-day ‘Mahila Sankalpa Deeksha’ (hunger strike) at Indira Park in the city on December 11 and 12.
The former minister appealed to all parties and women’s groups to support and participate in the hunger strike.
