Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri police arrested a man who allegedly misbehaved and threatened the women at Indira Nagar on Thursday.
According to the police, accused Abdul Kaleem, 43, an electrician by profession, is a resident of Indiranagar.
Kareem, who was in an inebriated condition allegedly threatened and misbehaved with the woman, who had earlier objected him from constructing a place of worship in the residential area.
The police said that the residents including the women had earlier approached the High Court objecting to the construction, and the court issued stay orders.
On Wednesday night, the accused reportedly restricted the locals and used filthy language and threatened with dire consequences. Following a complaint, he was arrested on Thursday, said the police.
