Khammam: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu endorsed the poll prediction of former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who said the Prajakutami was ahead in four districts, the TRS in three and a tight fight in two other districts.
Mr Naidu, who participated in a road show in Sattupalli, said the defeat of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was imminent and Mr Rajahopal’s poll analysis would become reality. He said all sections of the people were disgusted with the attitude of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and were ready to send him home.
Asking the people to vote against the TRS government, Mr Naidu said, “Telugu Desam has an alliance with the Congress to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The institutions like CBI and Enforcement Directorate are being misused.” He said Congress candidate Revanth Reddy was arrested at midnight after the doors of his bedroom were broken. “Where is the rule of the law in Telangana under KCR,” he said.
He said the TD had won 15 seats in Telangana state in 2014 of whom 13 legislators joined the TRS and only Mr Sandra Venkata Veeraiah remained with the Telugu Desam. “It is due to his impeccable character and the people should elect him with a big margin,” he said.
“Hyderabad developed during my tenure and KCR’s family is enjoying the fruits. KCR is doing friendship with Modi during the day and dealing with the MIM at night. It is the style of functioning of KCR," Mr Naidu said.
Stating that demonetisation was big mistake and the economy was in trouble, Mr Naidu said, “I am sailing with Rahul Gandhi to save the country from the clutches of Modi,” he said. The evacuees of SCCL open cast mines will be paid compensation on par with those of the Polavaram Project.
