Collapse is imminent: R Ashok , DV Sadananda Gowda
Bengaluru: While state BJP leaders have been predicting the fall of the Kumaraswamy government, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers, D.V.Sadananda Gowda went one step further on Wednesday, claiming it could fall before or during the winter session of the legislature in Belagavi.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, he said, "I doubt the government will last long. It will fall soon after the Belagavi session or before it ends." Claiming that several MLAs of the Congress and Janata Dal (S) would not participate in the session, he contended the government was not stable and could fall any time. "Wait and watch what will happen during the Belagavi session," he added in response to a question.
Asserting that the BJP was not trying destabilise the government, he said it would fall under its own pressures. "MLAs from Belagavi and Chikkabalapura have already come to us and the remaining will join soon," he maintained.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader, R. Ashok too claimed that state BJP chief, B.S. Yeddyurappa would soon be Chief Minister of the state and the BJP would form the government in Karnataka after the Belagavi session.
