Hyderabad: The GHMC has appointed 3,000 volunteers to help specially-abled, pregnant women and senior citizens. The corporation has constructed ramps for wheelchairs and other facilities to help people. Civic body commissioner M. Dana Kishore on Wednesday held a meeting with the volunteers and instructed them to assist the specially-abled and wear T-shirts provided for easy identification on December 7.
He asked the volunteers to assist the specially-abled on their way to the presiding officer and other polling officers. There are 18,000 specially-abled voters in Hyderabad.
