Ayodhya: Call to maintain peace

The commissioner underlined that every festival must be celebrated peacefully without disturbing others.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner, Anjani Kumar, on Tuesday asked citizens to stay calm whatever the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue.

Addressing a meeting of religious heads, volunteers and representatives of various organisations before the Milad-un-Nabi on November 10, Kumar asked people to ensure peace and tranquillity. He said the police is for security and well-being of every citizen.

Any restrictions imposed must be taken in the right spirit and for the well-being of all. The commissioner underlined that every festival must be celebrated peacefully without disturbing others.

He said once the Prophet shortened the prayer when he heard the cry of a baby. This teaches us that we should always care for others.

Moulana Auwlia Hussaini Murtuza Pasha, Moulana Qubool Badsha, Moulana Hussamuddin Sani Jafar Pasha, Moulana Nisar Hussain Hyder Aga, Moulana Ahmed ul Hussaini Sayeed Quadri, Moulana Gulam Samdani Ali Quadri, Moulana Nemathullah Quadri Moulana Ahmed bin Saleh Bawazeer, other religious heads and senior police officers attended the meeting.
