Thiruvananthapuram: The KPCC is yet to seek an explanation from youth MLA V. T. Balram for his controversial statement comparing party president Rahul Gandhi to Ayyappa Dharmasena state president Rahul Easwar. KPCC president Mullapally Ramachandran told DC that he had returned to the city only on Sunday.
Mr Mullapally had said in Palakkad on Wednesday last that none is above the party and that Mr Balram’s words had damaged the party’s image. “So far I have said only orally that the KPCC leadership would seek an explanation from Balram. I will do it in a written format soon,” he said. Opposition Leader Ram-esh Chennithala had also said that an explanation would be sought from Mr Balram for his Facebook post saying, “please remember, Rahul Gandhi, not Rahul Easwar is our party’s leader.”
