Hyderabad: Man rapes woman under pretext of dropping her
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old woman, mother of two children was allegedly gang-raped by three persons from Moinabad late on Sunday night. The Moinabad police booked a case of rape against three accused and took them into custody for questioning.
According to Cyberabad police, the victim, a native of Mahbubnagar works as a daily wage labourer.
On Sunday evening, the woman went to a toddy shop at Tukkuguda in Shamshabad. She met one Jaipal of Andapur in Moinabad and started talking to him.
When the woman was about to leave, Jaipal offered her a lift on his bike and took her to his house in Andapur telling that he would drop her home in a while.
Jaipal then latched the door from inside and raped her. He then called his friends Ramulu and Mahendar, who are also natives of the same village.
As she was under the influence of toddy, Jaipal took advantage of her and gave her a soft drink by laced with alcohol. A few minutes later, Ramulu and Mahendar reached Jaipal’s home and raped her, said the police.
After the incident, the woman went to Moinabad police station and lodged a complaint. Rajendranagar ACP K. Ashok Chakravarthy said, “Jaipal took her to his home under the pretext of offering her a lift. She was allegedly raped by Jaipal and his friends. Based on her complaint, a rape case has been booked against the accused and they have been taken into custody. The woman was sent to a Bharosa centre where her statement was recorded and she was sent for medical examination.”
