Hyderabad: A video posted by Ms Shivamma from Kadapa pleading the Indian government to bring her back from Saudi Arabia is going viral. She was seen crying in the video and was requesting the government to bring her back as her agent sold her to a Sheikh and she was forced to work for 18 hours a dai in the Arab country. She also said that after the death of her husband, she decided to work in Gulf to clear loans and secure a bright future for her daughter.
“The agent lured me on the pretext of a good salary of Rs 30,000 per month and I believed him and came to Riyadh five months back. Later, I came to know that the agent sold me to an Arab Sheik. For five months, I have been working without any salary and for 18 hours a day. When I called the agent, he gave me curt replies,” she said. She asked the government to take initiation in bringing her back to India. “My owners took away my phone and are manhandling me every day. I got severe head injuries,” she said.
